2011 was an interesting year. I presented us with diverse challenges and opportunities. You can be sure that 2012 will be similar.

No doubt, there will be stunning surprises as well as breath-taking breakthroughs but none of these will matter except we position ourselves to make the most of everyday.

There are strong indications that the economic recession will bite harder and several parts of Africa will be hard hit.

In Nigeria, we are already grappling with policy changes that are generating heated debates. These are telltale signs of unprecedented lifestyle changes. Whether we like it or not, change is bound to happen. What we must be concerned about now is the impact the change has on us. Will it be positive or negative?

That boils down to one primary factor-our DECISIONS.

We may not be able to control many things this year-the price of fuel, the temperature of the sun, the frequency of floods, the popularity of Reality TV shows but we can control our DECISIONS-more often than not. We must never relinquish control over the things for which we should take responsibility.

2012 may be tough for most people but it could be your best year yet. If you make the right decisions. You may make mistakes but that doesn’t mean everything will fall apart.

I’ve made up my mind that this is my best year yet. I’m conscious of God’s presence. I’m aware that He has positioned people, opportunities and resources at different points and places to help me fulfill my mandate. I challenge you to adopt this mindset.

Regardless of how things turn out, they will work together for our good.

That’s the spirit.

Four weeks ago, we opened the doors of DREAM Academy.

Just in case you don’t know what DREAM Academy is, I’d tell you.

D.R.E.A.M Academy is a personal and professional development academy that teaches you how to fulfill your DREAMS by leveraging relevant information and creative strategies.

D.R.E.A.M is an acronym for Developing Reformers, Entrepreneurs, Advocates and Managers and our mission is to groom a new generation of leaders who will create positive transformation in their own lives and subsequently in the socio-economic sphere of their Nations.

God planted the idea in my mind over three years ago but I’m glad it came to fruition last month. We called the first session of the Academy, “THE PIONEERS”.

It was an experience which many of us will never forget.

We had five days of practical wisdom, cutting edge strategies, thought-provoking discussions, team tasks, networking and indescribable yet pure fun.

Also, just like I had promised, the BEST TRAINEE went home with a BRAND NEW iPad 2. We had an extraordinary time learning from one another and from our EXTRAORDINARY facilitators who gave us much more than we bargained for.

Testimonies are still pouring in and I’d share some of them with you some other time.
My heart is filled with joy because I know that several lives have been positively transformed and their results
with speak for them over the coming days and years.

If you were one of “THE PIONEERS” who attended the first season of DREAM Academy, I’m saying a heartfelt
“THANK YOU”. God bless you beyond your wildest dreams.

If you were not at DREAM Academy, I wish you were. I hate to say this especially because I don’t like it when people
say it to me but you missed. Not to worry anyway because we recorded EVERY TEACHING SESSION and we have them in Mp3
and Mp4 formats. You’d really love them. The good thing is that you can PAUSE, REWIND, FAST-FORWARD and PLAY
all AT YOUR OWN PACE.

Even if you were there, you will still learn a lot more when you watch the videos or listen to the audio.

The year started on a really bright note for me and I am grateful that things are even much brighter now. I really hope you can say the same. What I have tried to do all through this year is to shine the light which I have been given by God on other people’s pathways.

I believe that we have LIFE to give LIFE.

We are BLESSED to BLESS others.

I congratulate you because you are still alive and you have another opportunity this month to give life to those who come in contact with you.

If you feel like you haven’t really accomplished much this year, not to worry, you still have 60 whole days to make things happen.

Congrats again. Now go DO SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL this month.

The news is everywhere. Steve Jobs has breasted the tape at the end of this human race.

One thing is clear. He made his MARK. (Excuse my pun in the title.)

He was a genius whose creativity has helped to shape to shape mankind forever.

Men and women, boys and girls from all over the world will continue to shower encomiums of him for a long time to come, not because of the duration of his life but because of the impact that he made.

He lived and he changed the way millions of people live. He was not oblivious of the fact that life was an opportunity to give and not just to get.

Some have said, “Three APPLES changed the world. The first one tempted Eve, the second inspired Newton and the third was offered to the world half eaten by Steve Jobs.”

That Apple is Steve’s gift to us. It’s a gift that keeps on giving.
His life should inspire us to give also. First, we must give all that we have to God, the real owner and giver of all good things.

Next, we must give to those around us.

Thirdly, we must give to those yet unborn by pouring out all that God put in us through goods, products and services that will continue to live long after we breath our last.

In Steve’s words, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” That’s good advise, you’d agree.

Even in his death, Steve Jobs still speaks.

Over the years, I’ve hosted one day events-workshops, trainings and seminars. Many attendees of such events still send in their testimonies. It’s always been my desire to deliver greater value than you’d ever be able to pay for and by the grace of God, that has always been the case.
