I know you are eager to know what “it” is.

If we are friends on facebook, you may have an idea of what “it” is.

You may have seen “its” picture or read an update I put up about “it”.

If you still don’t know what “it” is, not to worry, I’d let the cat out of the bag in a jiffy.

It’s the second print of my book, “JUST DO IT!…Turn Your Momentum-Breakers Into Momentum-Builders”.

Research shows that most Nigerian authors never sell more than 500 copies of their work.Consequently, they never exhaust their first print, talk less of doing a second print.

With that in mind, I’m excited to let you know that we sold out our first print of JUST DO IT sorely on a personal basis. Not one copy was sold through a bookstore or bookseller. Now, THAT’S A TESTIMONY!

It’s even more interesting to realize that even though I was privileged to write the book, every time I read it, I still draw fresh wisdom and divine inspiration from it and if the feedback I have is anything to go by, the book is a huge blessing to several other people. As you may know, I didn’t write the book for myself.

I wrote it for you.I wrote it for our generation and those coming after us.

Last week, one of my female buddies, Sophie, saw it and she was really impressed and excited to say the least.

She was so elated, she had no idea when she said “I didn’t plan to buy it.I’m not sure I have sufficient cash but meeeen, this is to good to be ignored…”

Thankfully, she had enough money on her to buy a copy and you should have seen the glow on her face.

As good as the book is, you do not need to break the bank to get a copy…or even several copies.By the way it’s advisable to get several copies.

Why?

Because several people have told me “Dami, I still haven’t read your book o.Somebody collected the copy I bought before I started reading it.”It’s advisable to get several copies so that if a friend or family member takes one, you can still have one you can call yours.

The response has been encouraging.

Not surprising though. The message is hot, fresh and fast-paced.It is 40 pages of unconventional wisdom and the average reading time is 1 hour.

I know it’s something you need to read and more importantly apply.

You can get the soft copy here, if you haven’t done that already.IT’S FREE.

More importantly, you need to get your hard copy before we run out of copies again.

I tell you-the books are moving really fast and you need to get yours.

I’m still consulting with individual book sellers and bookstores in order to facilitate better distribution.WE WANT TO TAKE THIS TO THE NEXT LEVEL:We want to place the book in the hands of every Nigerian who can read.

It may be daunting but it’s not impossible. It will take some time but delay is not denial.

I’d give you more information as we cover new grounds.

I believe that I have a lot to learn from you just as you may learn a thing or two from me.I’m open to suggestions. If there is any thing you think I could do better, please let me know.

If you think that the “JUST DO IT!” message is something more people should hear and you’d like to join hands with me to make that happen, do let me know.I believe that there is none of us that is greater than all of us if we stand together.I’D APPRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACK, QUESTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS so kindly write them in the comment box below.

Together, we’ll do great things.Today, it’s my book.Tomorrow, it may be yours but the truth is…it’s more than your book or mine…it’s about leaving a legacy…empowering people, securing destiny and establishing God’s kingdom.

So, LET’S GET IT STARTED…SAY SOMETHING…NOW…HERE…

In the first part of this article, I used the on-going world cup as a metaphor.

I emphasized the importance of playing the game of life differently.

It is ludicrous to do things the same way now and again and still expect a different result.

If we desire a different result, we must do things differently.

We cannot afford to just DO THE RIGHT THINGS alone. We must also DO THINGS RIGHT.

I’d like to share a few points with you that will ensure that you achieve better results during the second half of the year.

1.REVIEW the first half of the year.

Life is a continuum.

Every new phase is predicated on an old face.

It is essential to review our performance now and again so that we can improve.

Every great achiever makes out time for self-evaluation.

The great Apostle Peter admonished, “Examine yourselves, whether you still be in the faith…”

IN OTHER WORDS-CHECK YOURSELF SO YOU DON’T WRECK YOURSELF.

What did you do well?

What mistakes did you make?

Who do you need to apologize to?

These are a few of the questions you should ask as part of your evaluation process.

2.RESIST the temptation to quit.

It is possible that things have not turned out the way you planned.

Time seems to have lapsed and your desires are yet to be fulfilled.

Not to worry.

You still have five months and a few weeks ahead.

This is not an invitation to procrastination. It is a word of encouragement.

Resist the temptation to throw in the towel.

Resist the urge to throw tantrums.

Resist the pull of fatigue and press on courageously regardless of past disappointments, delayed gratification and broken promises.

3.RENEW your mind

You spend huge sums of money on your clothes, shoes, food and friends everyday. The question is “How much do you spend on your mind.”

The quality of your life does not depend on the quality of your clothes. It depends on the quality of your thoughts.

That’s why Paul says “I beg you…do not be like everyone else but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

As your wardrobe gets bigger, let your library become larger.

It is your duty that the number of books you read or refer to is constantly more than the number of clothes you have.

What lies within is more precious than what lies without.

Invest in an ipod and listen to life-changing books, teachings, seminars and messages.

This is very important.

I still have a few points to share so watch out for the third part of this article.

Meanwhile, kindly leave your comments below.

I’d love to know what you think.

The world cup has been quite exciting.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the opening ceremony with all the glitz and glamor.

I am so excited that South Africa has done an excellent job of presenting a more realistic and objective view of Africa to the world.

There’s no denying the fact that the the world cup has had a lot of twists and turns.

Amidst the deafening blast of vuvuzellas, whistles and drumbeats, a lot of unexpected events have happened especially on the field of play.

Teams that were tipped for the trophy have fallen like broken bricks in a tsunami.

Their dreams have been shattered like egg shells.

On the other side of the coin, countries that were hitherto disregarded have now emerged and in some cases, re-emerged as forces to reckon with.

I don’t want to mention names but if you have been following the world cup, you know what I’m talking about.

Well, I may sound like a football enthusiast but this article is not really about soccer, it’s about a much bigger game.

I’m talking about the game of life.

Life has several similarities with the game of football but I’d keep that for another post.

I know it’s easy to criticize football players while you watch from the comfort of your home or office but you need to ask yourself the question,”how many goals have I scored this year?”

The year is already halfway through.

The days are flying by and before you know it, the year would be over.

The least you could do is to take an inventory of your life and identify the areas you need to work on.

I have done that myself and I can tell you that I know what exactly I need to do to make this new half of this year more productive and rewarding than the first.

The truth is that some teams put up an awful performance during the first half but they came up strong and got the victory during the second half.

They played differently. They performed better and they won.

Regardless of how bad things were between January and June, you can still make a difference and accomplish your objectives before the year runs out.

I have identified a few things you could do to make that happen and I’d be sharing that in the next blog post so stick around.

Till then…Enjoy…

February went by so fast.

I guess it was because I had so much to do.

At the beginning of the month, I had my to-do list.

At the end of the month, I had ticked off almost everything on that list.

That gladdened my heart.

I was in Badagry once.

Abia state on two ocassions.

Different parts of Lagos every week…meetings…seminars…conferences…

What was I doing?

Great question!

I was doing what I was born to do…empower my generation to be all that God wants us to be.

I was preaching…teaching…speaking…training…facilitating meetings…writing…granting interviews…sharing what I know…what I have learned over the years.

Life’s greatest joy lies in our contribution to other lives.

It feels great to make a difference for good.

Are you making a difference in someone’s life?

Just like February, March is flying by so fast.

Before you know it, it’s going to be April, then May…June…July…September…December…2011…

Phew!

What’s my point?

“There’s no time.”

Well, there is time but there’s no time to waste.

I believe that we have enough time for what we NEED to do but we don’t have enough time to do all that we WANT to do.

We have enough time for what we were born to do but we don’t have enough time for all we wish to do.

Everyday, different things and people are contending for your attention…fighting for your time.

So what are you going to do?

You can’t attend to everything or even everyone.

You have to make the right choices.

That’s the struggle I face everyday.

I bet you have a similar experience.

Whatever you do, do what you were born to do or it would have been better if you were never born.

Ouch…

P.S: It’s my birthday this month and I have some special offers for you.Stay Tuned.
