From Interest To Commitment.

My last post was quite long so I’d keep this one simple but just as powerful.

If I do not exhaust my thoughts on this topic, I’d continue some other time but I just want to share a few points with you now.

One of the key differences between success and failure, prosperity and poverty, marital bliss and divorce, sickness and health, academic excellence and poor performance is a simple word-COMMITMENT.

I bet you’ve seen the wonders of commitment. You have seen it over and over. From the artistry displayed by your favorite sport star to the soul-stirring messages delivered by the charismatic preacher; from the masterful use of words by the best-selling author to the ever-increasing bottom line of the astute business mogul; from the precision of the marksman to the awe-inspiring creativity of the artist, our world is decorated with the sweet fruit of commitment.

Great organizations are built through commitment.

Skills are developed through commitment.

Anointing is developed through commitment.

If you will become great, you MUST move from mere interest to commitment.

There are a lot of people who would like to become better singers yet they wouldn’t even learn from the successful singers around them.

There are a lot of people who would like to become best-selling authors yet they wouldn’t even write an article, talk less of posting valuable notes on facebook.

Some say they would love to to feed thousands of people daily some time in the future but they wouldn’t even buy a hungry stranger something to eat.

Others pray that God will use them mightily yet they have never made any serious sacrifice for Him.

Things just don’t work that way.

Your COMMITMENT TO ANY PERSON or PROJECT is measured by your ACTUAL INVESTMENTS in that person and not by your VERBAL PRONOUNCEMENTS.

Being committed means you will take the required steps to produce the desired results.

Interest may be a starting point but it takes commitment to go the whole nine yards.

I promised to keep this short, so I’d continue some other time.

I look forward to your comments and contributions.

P.S.:My PRIVATE EXCLUSIVE LUNCHEON IS TAKING PLACE IN just four days. I have a few seats left.

For My Blog Readers Only.

It might be more accurate, if I add “regular” to the title of this post so that it reads: “For My Regular Blog Readers Only”

Now, it doesn’t mean that you can’t take advantage of the information I’m about to share with you if you are not an avid reader of this blog. It only means you might be reading this much later than you should.

At the end of this post, you’d have a better understanding of this.

Last week, I hinted that I will be hosting a special event on July 1st, 2011.

It’s a SPECIAL LUNCHEON and PRIVATE WORKSHOP.

As you may already know, it’s the first of its kind that I’d be hosting this year and it might be the only one as well.

You REALLY DO NOT want to MISS IT for any reason.

It’s important for you to note that it will be a SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY to connect with other great minds and it promises to be an ABSOLUTELY UNFORGETTABLE experience.

Here’s a line up of activities for JULY 1…in no particular order, though.

1.Lovely LUNCH prepared by a Nigerian Chef who was trained in FRANCE, Chef Fregs.

2.Apart from the food which promises to be SUMPTOUS, we’d share our thoughts on personal and business development.

3.We’d also watch a few MIND-STRETCHING, LIFE-TRANSFORMING videos.

4.Besides, I’d be walking you through a POWERFUL new concept that I’m developing called S.L.O.T… that’s an acronym for Strategic Life Optimization Training. It will CHANGE your LIFE forever!

5.Furthermore, if you are one of the 12 people who ACT FAST enough, I’d give you TWO (2) Autographed copies of my NEW BOOK,

SEIZE THE MOMENT!

6.Finally, I will be available EXCLUSIVELY to you for 5 minutes.
I’d answer any question you might have or offer advise on any of your endeavor. That is outside the “general session”

By the way, that is another reason why it is an “EXCLUSIVE EVENT”

Several people have asked me “Is it going to be FREE.”

May be you have asked that question too.

My thoughts are rather simple. I’ve offered a good number of FREE trainings before but this one is NOT FREE.

If you thought it was, sorry to BURST you BUBBLE.

In fact, depending on what you consider CHEAP or EXPENSIVE, you might conclude that it is expensive.

It will cost you SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT.

If you want to know the actual commercial value of this EVENT per person, here’s a breakdown:

LUNCH: N3 500

EMPOWERMENT VIDEOS: N1 000

S.L.O.T: N50 000

SEIZE THE MOMENT (2 Copies): N2 000

NETWORKING:Priceless

ONE on ONE session:Priceless

ADD it all up and the figure you have is N56 500 + Priceless!

That is the true commercial value, however, I’m going to make a concession for you.

You will PAY ONLY A FRACTION of that.

If I told you to pay N25 000, that would be fair but I’d go even lower because I want you to have an UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE,

so you’d pay N10 000 only.

That’s it!

It doesn’t get “CHEAPER” than that. So, take advantage of it.

Make your payment to:
DREAMSTREAM RESOURCES CO. LTD.
219 832174 110
GTBank

You could make a deposit at any GTBank branch or do a transfer online.

One you have done that, send your payment details to 0802 362 0526 and I’d secure your seat.

Please note that this is ENTIRELY based on a “FIRST-TO-PAY” basis because I am preparing for ONLY 12 people and once the twelfth person pays, it would be too late for you to join us.

As a matter of fact, a friend of mine says he is sending at least 5 of his staff but guess what, if you pay before they do, you will get your seat and they might just lose out.

What’s the point?
It’s simple. Get to the bank as soon as you can, make the payment of N10 000 and SECURE YOUR SEAT.

I look forward to seeing you on July 1st, 2011.

P.S:The event is slated for a “secret venue” in Yaba, Lagos. The exact address will be revealed to you after you SECURE YOUR SEAT.The time is 11am-3pm

P.P.S: There are only 12 seats, so ACT NOW.

P.P.P.S: This is such a long write-up but every word of it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT so scroll to the top and read the whole of it…if you haven’t done that already.

Are You Interested?

June is almost half gone.

I trust that you are covering a lot of ground as the year races on.

If you’ve been following me on this blog for any length of time, you would have realized that I am committed to seeing you actualize your dreams and achieve your goals.

It is my joy to see you be better, grow faster and soar higher. That’s why I have decided to host a little event that I know will be of tremendous benefit to you…if you decide to take advantage of it.

I haven’t done this in a while because I’ve been EXTREMELY BUSY with CORPORATE TRAINING, MINISTERIAL ASSIGNMENTS and PERSONAL PROJECTS and a whole lot of people have been asking when next I’d put up an event like this.

It’s an EXCLUSIVE LUNCHEON and PRIVATE WORKSHOP.

It’s going to hold on the 1ST of JULY, 2011.That’s a Friday.
Time is 11am-3pm

There are 3 major things we’d engage in:

FIRST-Lunch and Networking
We’d have some really good food.
I have a friend who trained as a chef in France and he’d be giving us some sumptuous delicacies as we network.

SECOND-S.L.O.T…Strategic Life Optimization Training

A lot of people talk about TIME MANAGEMENT but while that is necessary, a higher level of knowledge is LIFE OPTIMIZATION.
I’d shed more light on this at the event. This is a new training that I am developing. It is FRESH and ORIGINAL.
In fact, let me put it this way-God gave it to me!

If you will attend this event, you’d be the one of the FIRST HUMANS alive to be a part of it.

You will not find it in any INSTRUCTIONAL GUIDE or MOTIVATIONAL MANNER.

It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE forever.

THIRD-I’d be offering autographed copies of my new book, SEIZE THE MOMENT!

Also, you’d be one of the first set of people to get copies of my new book.

There’s a whole lot more information but I don’t want to take too much of your very valuable time. If you are REALLY INTERESTED in this private event, kindly indicate your interest by leaving a message with “I’m interested”  and your email address in the comment box below so I can furnish you with more details.

P.S:It will hold in Lagos

P.P.S:There are limited spaces. Act fast.

5 Things You Must Do For Your Children.

Children are passports to the future.

They are the only way we can be a part of the future.

Children are God’s strategy to ensure the  continuity of life.

Long after we have completed our assignments on earth and have departed this clime, our children will be here.

Whether they will advance our course or go contrary to God’s purpose, plan and program is largely dependent on how we engage them now.

One Psalmist in the bible compares children to arrows. It’s important to know that arrows don’t shoot themselves. For arrows to hit their target, they have to be sharpened, aimed and skilfully released by a seasoned warrior. The implication is that the effectiveness of the arrow is often a reflection of the diligence of the warrior. In a similar fashion, the success of our children is connected to our diligence.

If we are super-parents, we’d raise super-kids. If we are lazy parents, we’d raise indolent kids.

There are a few things I would recommend that we do as parents, guardians and mentors.

1. LOVE them GENUINELY.

Love is one of man’s essential needs.

We all love to be loved. Love is the foundation of long-lasting and meaningful relationships.

An easy way to connect with your kids is to love them. Ensure that you show them and tell them that you love them.

2.TRAIN them CONSISTENTLY.

Never assume that kids know what to do.

The best of kids is still a kid at his best.

Training requires patience and time. Take out time to invest in them.

3.CORRECT them GENTLY.

Remember the old adage: “Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.”

Children don’t hate correction but they dislike harsh remarks and embarrassment.

When you correct them, be firm yet gentle. Never try to kill an ant with a sledge hammer. You’ll do more harm than good.

4.CELEBRATE them SINCERELY.

Kids love parties. They love celebration.

Seize every opportunity to celebrate them. Let them know that they are the best.

Please that even the most troublesome kids have some great attribute. Focus on those great attributes and watch the not-so-good melt away.

5.PRAY for them PASSIONATELY.

Prayer is one of the greatest gifts you could ever give them.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come unto me.” The he blessed them.

Pray for your children. Praying for them is your full time responsibility.  Prayer can’t be restricted by time or space so even if you are not in the same geographical location with them, your prayers could still reach them.

You know that we are in dark and desperate times. Times when perversion is fashionable and sexual innuendos saturate the airwaves. If Jesus doesn’t help us, who will and if we don’t ask him to take care of our kids, then we might not be taking full advantage of the blessings that he has already secured for us.

P.S.: Happy Children’s Day.

3 Events. 3 States. 3 Days.

It’s been a “cool” week for me.

Do you know what I mean?

You know there are some weeks where you have soooooooooo many things to do. You feel overwhelmed.

Once in a while, there are weeks that you have almost nothing major to do. You feel bored.

However, there are other weeks that seem to fall in between the first two categories- those weeks are just “cool”. You are do not feel overwhelmed neither do you feel idle or bored.

You have just about enough time and energy to do the things on your ‘To Do List”

That’s how this week has been for me.

I wish the weekend would be like that but it’s going to be far from it.

I am scheduled to speak at three events in three states over the next three days.

Phewww!

I am not complaining. I appreciate the golden privilege to invest in people’s lives but I am also aware that it’s a huge responsibility.

Do keep me in your prayers and if you are anywhere close to the venues, I’d love to see you there.

On Friday…that’s tomorrow, I’d be speaking at The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State

The Time is 10:30am

I’d be speaking on LEADERSHIP.

********************************************************************************

On Saturday, I’d be Speaking at THE SPEAKERS’ FORUM.

The venue is the Royal Springs Hotel, Biket Junction, Ikirun-Osogbo Road, Osun State. The event starts for 9am.

The event has been tagged “The Performing Generation”

I’d be speaking on “PRODUCTIVITY and CAPACITY ENLARGEMENT”

*********************************************************************************

On Sunday morning, I’d be worshiping at my church, HOUSE ON THE ROCK at the EXPO Centre of the Eko Hotel, Adetokunbo Ademola,Victoria Island. The time is 9am. My Pastor Paul Adefarasin will be ministering. Join us as we CANCEL (negative) CONTRACTS.

In the evening, I’d be ministering at FOURSQUARE Gospel Church.

32A, Commercial Avenue, Sabo Yaba, Lagos.

The time is 5pm.

The Topic is “IT’S IN YOU!”

It would be really nice to see you at one or two of these events but if you can’t make any of the meetings, it’s fine, just send your prayers and tell your friends.

3 Simple Ways To Minimize Monday Madness.

You may have heard famous phrases like, “Thank God It’s Friday” and “Mondays Suck, Fridays Rock!”…well, I just came up with that second phrase.

But I’m sure you get the point. Most of us prefer the end of the week to the beginning of the week. The “favored few”  who are immunized from Monday Madness are those who are genuinely in love with their profession and have successfully built solid structures that take the pressure of their work off them.

Monday mornings often come with the mad rush through traffic, amidst blaring horns, impatient motorists and hasty pedestrians; High tension board meetings with new deadlines and cranky colleagues who act like they left their manners in their thrash cans back home.

Well, regardless of how much we love Fridays and dislike Mondays, they both come around once a week so the question is “How do I minimize or eliminate Monday Madness?”

I have three simple suggestions.

1.Do What You Love or Love What You Do.

A survey in the U.S reveals that the highest cases of cardiac arrests are recorded on Monday Mornings. The reason isn’t far-fetched. Most people start the week with feelings of fear, apprehension, uncertainty and in some cases depression. They do not Do what they love, neither do they love what they do.

It is advisable to pursue a career that offers you a sense of fulfillment; a career that is either in line with your passions or purpose in life.

In case you are already far gone in a field that is not in your area of interest, it may not be a wise decision to quit immediately but what you could do is to DECIDE to LOVE what you do. Make a decision to ENJOY what you do.

2.Make Up Your Mind To Make An Impact Not Just An Income.

Most people work to earn a living but the most successful people work to enrich lives.

If your ONLY motivation you have to do what you do is money, please CHECK YOURSELF so you don’t WRECK YOURSELF.

It is important to have enough money to lead a decent lifestyle (whatever your definition of decent is) however, it is more important to realize that INCOME is secondary to IMPACT.

Your IMPACT is what gives you the right to have an INCOME.

Redefine what you do and it will help you change how you do what you do.

Instead of saying, “I’m a Barber” say, “I make people look good by cutting their hair.”

Instead of saying, “I’m a Motor mechanic” say, “I help people become more productive by putting their cars in the best form possible.”

Instead of saying, “I’m a Medical Doctor” say, “I help people feel better, look younger and live longer…”

It may sound “strange” at first but if you keep on reminding yourself that IMPACT comes before INCOME, you will minimize Monday Madness and maximize your Monthly income.

3.Manage Your Emotions No Matter What Happens.

You had a put up with a lot already and you just wanted a break. The pressure on you within the last hour was a whole week’s worth and just when you thought you could return to your cubicle to catch your breath, a “silly billy” makes a snide remark about you and every one burst out in laughter. You tried to ignore them but they continued as if it was a concerted effort to tick you off.

Well, if it  was, they succeeded because you lost your cool and took of your garb of “Miss Prim and Proper”. You gave them a piece of your mind. You called their fathers Pigs and their mothers Prostitutes. You went on and on until you exhausted your “Vocabulary of Vulgarity”. Oops!

As if that was the remedy, they shut up in disbelief. You felt a WHOLE LOT better…at least for a short while.

Then it dawned on you that you had gone a little too far. You were hurt by what they said about you but you didn’t just hurt them, you CRUSHED them. You had made enemies out of them and somehow, you wished you could take those words back.

**************************************************************************************

The truth is that people will get on your nerves, especially on Mondays and you can choose to manage your emotions or mismanage the situation.

It’s not always easy to “play the fool” but it’s always worth it. It adds value to you. It develops your character. It earns you the respect of your surbodinates, the admiration of your colleagues and the appreciation of your superiors. Try it. You’ll see it works.

P.S: Please don’t keep this to yourself. Share it with friends on Facebook and Twitter and do leave your comments in the box below.
