1.Identify God’s purpose for your life.
Today, I was privileged to witness the celebration of an icon.
My mentor and spiritual leader, Pastor Paul Adefarasin was appreciated by the House On The Rock, an organisation he has served so faithfully the last decade and a half.
I have learnt so many things from him and I’m still learning. He is an agent of change. He has empowered millions of people through his messages and ministry.
He is seen on television in different parts of the world.
He has written books that encourage people he might never meet on this side of eternity.
He has inspired thousands of people to start their businesses and strengthen their communities.
Above all, he has led so many people to the light.Through Him , many people can stare death in the face assured that they will spend eternity with God and not in the fiery pits of hell.
I said all that to say this-you can never increase your value except you first identify the reason you are on earth. You must have a clear definition of your purpose.I don’t know what you have been told prior to this time but you are not on earth for nothing. You are here for a specific purpose.A definite reason. You have a clear-cut assignment.A value-adding mission and you will not find fulfilment no matter how much money you have until you find and begin to fulfill your purpose. It’s only God that can accurately communicate your purpose to you.So ask Him to reveal it to you today.
2.Invest In Yourself.
Many people spend a lot of money on clothes, cars and other perishables.
Others spend their hard-earned cash on things that have no value.
You have to realise that other people are busy trying to fulfill their purposes (or fantasies) and you have a responsibility to invest in yourself.
Invest in your spirit.
Invest in your health.
Invest in your looks.
Improve your communication skills.
After you have identified your purpose, invest in yourself as much as you can so that you can fulfill that purpose.
3.Invest in Others.
People who are selfish never enjoy true greatness.
If you are all about what you can do, where you can go, what you can buy, what you should own…you …you…you..blah…blah(excuse me), you can never be truly great.
Your vision has to be greater than personal comfort for you to be great.
If you want to increase your value, enrich others.Increase the quality of other people’s lives.
Give out some of your clothes.
Give out some of your money. You might not be able to give billions of dollars to charity like Bill Gates but may be the few dollars you give to that person in need around you today may mean a billion to them.
Show some love.
Slow down today and increase the value of someone’s life and by that simple act, you would have increased your own value significantly.
